Bridal Sessions have become one of our new favorite things! It gives us the opportunity to help the bride-to-be get all the pre-wedding day jitters out of the way!! It also allows us so much extra time on the wedding day to focus on wedding details and first looks!!  And I mean how can you not LOVE seeing the bride prior to the wedding all dressed up and Kayla was no except!

One of my favorite parts about the bridal session (okay, I have a lot of favorite moments I have to share) was learning that she searched long and hard to find the just right wedding dress!! Kayla ended up finding THE dress in an entirely different state- North Carolina!! If that doesn’t show you determination- then I’m not sure what will!

So, we start photographing at Robious Landing Park, and while we’re walking through a few trails we spot a rock that’s decorated (and I mean fully painted as a superhero). We think it’s super cool + that maybe a kid left it behind. We spotted a few more throughout the session and Kayla mentioned hearing something about RVA Rocks- a group that invites individuals to paint rocks and hide them for people to find at local parks. And wouldn’t you know that’s exactly what we had found. Now you’re probably wondering why I’m rambling on about rocks.. WELL fast forward until after Kayla + Blake’s gorgeous wedding. The two newlyweds go out to dinner (their car still fully decorated from the wedding) and they come out of the restaurant to find one of the painted rocks on their car!! The rock said: “Love Anchors the Soul.” Seriously, how fitting is that?

So enough about rocks… Kayla thank you so much for letting us capture you in your gorgeous bridal attire!!!
